Eat Jin Campaign Launches Food Drive Project for Typhoon Tino Victims in Cebu
Cebu, Philippines — In the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, hundreds of Cebu residents continue to navigate the slow process of rebuilding homes, livelihoods, and normalcy. To support families still recovering, Eat Jin Campaign — in coordination with Bethia’s Kitchenette — organized a food distribution project on the first anniversary of Jin’s track “Running Wild” from his HAPPY album.
The initiative aimed to provide immediate, practical assistance to communities affected by the storm. Volunteers and partner teams prepared and delivered freshly cooked meals to selected barangay, prioritizing households with limited access to resources. The project highlighted the ongoing needs in Cebu and the importance of sustained support even after media attention fades.

Eat Jin Campaign stated that the effort was purposely aligned with the “Running Wild” anniversary as a reminder that advocacy and celebration can coexist. Instead of commemorating the milestone solely online, the organization chose to mark the date by responding to a real and pressing humanitarian need. According to organizers, the goal was simple — contribute where help is needed and encourage others to do the same.
The project was funded through the generosity of Madam Nemia Sharma, whose contribution enabled the preparation, transport, and distribution of the meals. Organizers expressed appreciation for her willingness to participate in a community-centered initiative and emphasized that such support is crucial for outreach efforts to continue.
Bethia’s Kitchenette played a central role by handling all food preparation and logistics. Their team coordinated cooking, packing, and delivery over several hours, ensuring that meals reached families safely despite transportation challenges in certain areas. Eat Jin Campaign recognized the group’s reliability and long-standing commitment to local community work.
As Cebu works toward full recovery, the organization hopes the project helps ease immediate concerns while reinforcing awareness of ongoing needs. Eat Jin Campaign also reiterated that meaningful assistance does not always require large-scale operations — collaboration, consistency, and responsiveness remain the most effective tools in community support.

As we continue to celebrate the anniversary of Jin's first EP album “HAPPY”, Eat Jin Campaign, together with Bethia’s Kitchenette, organized another FOOD DRIVE to support the victims of Typhoon Tino in Balamban Cebu.
A total of 150 food packs were delivered to residents in Barangay Nangka. The Bethia’s Kitchenette team traveled nearly four hours to reach the area, passing through landslide-prone zones to ensure the supplies arrived safely. According to team feedback, many households continue to experience limited resources, with ongoing needs for food, clean water, clothing, diapers, and electricity.
The project was made possible through the support of sponsor Vilma T. Edquilang, whose contribution funded the food distribution. Eat Jin Campaign also acknowledged Bethia’s Kitchenette for managing the preparation and delivery despite challenging conditions.
As rebuilding efforts continue, Eat Jin Campaign hopes that this initiative encourages more people and organizations to step forward. Marking the anniversary of Jin’s HAPPY album through community service reflects the campaign’s belief that celebrations can create real impact beyond fan spaces. With continued support, coordination, and awareness, communities in Cebu can recover faster and more sustainably.
Eat Jin Campaign extended a warm welcome to new Filipino educators arriving in St. Louis on the 27th of September 2024, Missouri. In an effort to help them settle into their new community, the campaign donated 8 mattresses and 2 rice cookers, ensuring that these educators have essential comforts as they begin their journey in a new city.
All donations were made in honor of BTS member Jin, reflecting the campaign’s ongoing commitment to meaningful acts of kindness inspired by his values. This generous initiative was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Nemia T. Sharma, whose support helped bring comfort and care to these educators during this transitional period.
Through simple but purposeful acts, the campaign reinforces the importance of compassion, shared responsibility, and looking out for one another—no matter the distance.
