Eat Jin Campaign Launch

Launched in 2021 by fans in the Philippines, the Eat Jin Campaign was born out of inspiration from BTS member Kim Seokjin, widely known as Jin, whose generosity and compassion have left a lasting mark on supporters worldwide. The initiative began as a way for Filipino fans to honor his legacy by extending his spirit of kindness to communities in need.

Motivated by Jin’s selfless acts and unwavering support for others, organizers envisioned a movement that goes beyond fan appreciation. Their goal is to promote Jin and his artistry by reflecting his values through good deeds, turning admiration for him into meaningful action.

Jin’s philanthropy has included becoming a member of UNICEF Korea’s Honors Club after quietly donating over ₩100 million (approximately US $84,000) since May 2018, a contribution he revealed believing that “good influence grows if it is shared.”

The Eat Jin Campaign's first project was a deeply meaningful and impactful initiative: a monetary donation of 24,300.00 PHP to the Childhope Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of street children. To raise funds for this cause, we organized an Online Raffle for a Cause, where participants purchased raffle slots for 100.00 PHP each. The winners were chosen through a transparent online draw held on our Facebook page, allowing the community to be actively involved in the process.

This donation, made on March 17, 2021, was given in Seokjin’s name, in honor of his generosity and the inspiration he provides through his own acts of kindness. The funds raised helped Childhope Foundation continue their vital work in providing education, healthcare, and support to children in need. Through this project, the Eat Jin Campaign not only helped those less fortunate but also amplified Jin’s message of compassion and selflessness. It was a moment of unity, as fans came together to support a cause close to their hearts, all while celebrating Seokjin’s inspiring example of giving back to the community.

BORACAY, Malay, Aklan — In a heartfelt gesture marking BTS's eighth anniversary, the Eat Jin Campaign stepped forward with compassion-grocery packs and first-aid kits—each worth ₱500—were donated to 30 families in Boracay Island, including fishermen, boatmen, and tricycle drivers whose livelihoods were devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic’s lockdowns and travel restrictions.

Boracay—a tourism powerhouse that recorded over two million tourist arrivals in 2019 and energized the island's economy—was abruptly silenced as the pandemic hit. Aklan lost an estimated ₱11.3 billion in tourism revenue within just a few months of lockdown.

BTS 8th Year Anniversary

The ripple effects were severe: 43% of households surveyed in coastal fishing communities reported family members losing tourism-related jobs during the early lockdowns, with disruptions across the fisheries value chain including production, marketing, and transport. Nestled in this landscape of recovery and collective perseverance, the Eat Jin Campaign’s efforts brought much-needed relief—not just through goods, but hope. For many families still coping with reduced income, the initiatives provided essential support and a reminder that the community is not forgotten.

The campaign deeply thanks the generous donors who made this vital support possible. Each act of kindness, no matter how small, helped bring hope and comfort to a community working to rebuild after the hardships of the pandemic.

Christmas and Year End 2021

MANILA, Philippines — As 2021 drew to a close, Eat Jin Campaign capped off the year with a heartfelt gesture that touched the lives of some of the city’s most vulnerable. In partnership with ChildHope Foundation Inc., the campaign donated 70 Noche Buena bags, each valued at ₱500, to street families in Metro Manila.

The campaign expressed its deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the project possible, noting that each donation—whether big or small—played a vital role in delivering hope. This act of giving highlighted the ongoing mission of the Eat Jin Campaign: to honor BTS member Kim Seokjin’s legacy of generosity by promoting good deeds and supporting communities in need.
