On December 4, 2021, the Eat Jin Campaign lit up the Philippines with a series of LED ads in celebration of BTS member Jin’s 29th birthday. Marking a major milestone, the group launched the very first fan-led birthday LED ad for Jin at the SM Mall of Asia Globe — the largest outdoor LED screen in the country.
The celebration extended across the nation, with LED ads also displayed in Iloilo, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, turning cityscapes across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao into vibrant birthday tributes.

Each ad featured visuals and messages inspired by Jin, reflecting the deep admiration of the Filipino ARMY. The campaign stood as a powerful show of unity, creativity, and love for Jin from fans all over the Philippines — made possible through the generous support of sponsors and donors who helped bring this tribute to life.
In celebration of Jin’s 29th birthday, a generous donor of Eat Jin Campaign sponsored a special birthday rear bus ad that ran for a full month, from November 12 to December 12, 2021. The bus proudly displayed a captivating image of Jin, traveling across the city and spreading a touch of his charm to everyone who caught a glimpse.
In celebration of Kim Seokjin’s 29th birthday, the Eat Jin Campaign took the opportunity to spread love and kindness through a special donation drive. Organized with the goal of giving back to the community, the campaign focused its efforts on helping Cottolengo Filipino Inc., a home dedicated to caring for children and individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
Thanks to the overwhelming support from fans and donors, the campaign raised a total of ₱130,000 worth of essential items. This included food supplies, toiletries, and even catering services that provided warm meals for the residents. To make the day extra special, a photobooth setup was also arranged, allowing the children and staff to capture joyful memories and share smiles in celebration.
The event was more than just a donation—it was a celebration filled with warmth, compassion, and fun. The residents of Cottolengo Filipino enjoyed hearty meals and lighthearted moments with the photobooth, making Seokjin’s birthday not only meaningful but truly unforgettable for everyone involved.

SAVING KORE'S HOME
In honor of BTS member Jin’s 30th birthday, Eat Jin Campaign launched a meaningful environmental project titled “Saving Kore’s Home,” inspired by Jin’s love for fishing and the whale he named "Kore". BTS’s Jin first introduced the adorable whale character "Kore"—a name derived from “korae” (고래), the Korean word for “whale”—on April 10, 2019, during a BangtanTV segment where the members drew while talking about their “IDOL” music video. This fan-led initiative focuses on marine conservation through the symbolic adoption of whales and coral reefs.
As part of the Eat Jin Campaign’s meaningful efforts to celebrate Kim Seokjin’s birthday, the team took a unique step inspired by Jin’s love for fishing and the ocean—they symbolically re-adopted a humpback whale from Babuyan Island, lovingly named “Kim Seokjin.”
Symbolic adoption is a way to support wildlife conservation without taking animals out of their natural habitat. By adopting a whale through a trusted marine protection program, supporters help fund vital research, monitoring, and community education that all play a role in protecting these gentle giants.
This symbolic adoption was made through Balyena.org, a local non-profit organization dedicated to the research and conservation of whales and dolphins in the Philippines. Balyena.org has been studying humpback whales in the Babuyan Marine Corridor for years, working to protect their natural habitat and raise awareness about the challenges they face,
As part of the Eat Jin Campaign’s thoughtful celebration of Kim Seokjin’s birthday, the team extended their love for nature by symbolically adopting three coral fragments through Coral Guardian, a marine conservation organization based in Indonesia. The corals were lovingly named Seokjin, WWH (Worldwide Handsome), and Taejin
Coral Guardian’s “Adopt a Coral” program works to restore damaged reefs by transplanting healthy coral fragments into protected areas near Hatamin Island, located within the biodiverse region of the Coral Triangle. These symbolic adoptions directly support the restoration of marine habitats, ensuring that coral reefs—home to countless marine species—can thrive once again.
This helps fund vital research, reef replanting, and local community engagement. Each coral comes with a certificate, GPS coordinates, and updates, allowing fans to follow the journey of the corals they helped bring back to life.
For the second part of our Saving Kore’s Home project in celebration of Jin’s 29th birthday, the Eat Jin Campaign donated $100 USD to Sea Shepherd, one of the world’s leading marine conservation organizations. Known for their bold and direct action, Sea Shepherd works tirelessly to defend marine wildlife, combat illegal fishing, and protect ocean ecosystems from destructive human activities.
They stand at the frontlines—opposing the hunting of humpback whales, the slaughter of dolphins and seabirds, and the devastation caused by overfishing. Their mission is to conserve and safeguard the ocean’s fragile biodiversity, ensuring future generations can continue to enjoy thriving marine environments.
By supporting Sea Shepherd, the Eat Jin Campaign joins a global movement to raise awareness about the urgent need for ocean protection. This donation may be small in amount, but it’s big in purpose—reflecting our shared commitment to Jin’s love for the sea and the life it holds. Together, we can help turn the tide for marine conservation, one meaningful act at a time.
On December 4, 2021, in celebration of BTS member Kim Seokjin’s 29th birthday, the Eat Jin Campaign organized a series of Free Cupsleeve Events across the Philippines.
